Building steps

Step 1: Dismantling the pallet

The first step is to dismantle the pallet to get the different parts we need ready.

Note that we will use

Step 2: Building the floor

Building the base of the pallet bench for kids. The strips are colored in yellow

Once we have all the parts of the pallets separated it’s time to start building the seat. We will start with the base.

To do that, we will use 6 blocks of the pallet and two wooden strips.

The blocks that have rounded edges we use them in the corners, the other ones go in the middle.

Step 3: Bulding the seat

Building the three different levels of the pallet seat

We will create one more level exactly the same way we did in the last step: 6 blocks (the ones with rounded edges in the corners) and two yellow wooden strips.

Also, we will add 6 extra blocks in the top prior to put the three wooden strips that are the final seat in the next step.

Step 4: Finishing the seat

To finish up the seat we will use three wooden strips: two yellow (wide) and one green (narrow).

The green one, that has rounded edges, is the one that goes in the front.

Step 5: Building the backrest

Building the backrest of the bench made out of pallets

In this step we will build the backrest for the children pallet bench.

To give the backrest structural strengh we will build a square structure and will place 6 wooden strips inside of it.

Step 6: Finishing the model

In the last step we attach the backrest to the seat of our pallet bench for children.

When the model is finished remember also to check for points that may need structural reinforcement.

To finish we highly recommend you to sand the pallet bench to avoid splinters so the children do not get hurt. You can oil it or paint it, we leave that to your choice.
