What are the materials and tools you will need for this square pallet planter?
To comfortably bluid this design you will need:
Some other materials that are not mandatory but highly recommended for safety reasons are:
Here you have a view of the pallet we are using for this furniture along with an exploded view of the pallet itself. That way you can locate each one of the parts used for the model. Note that some parts might not be used for this specific model.
The first step is to dismantle the pallet to get the different parts we are going to be using for this pallet planter.
We will use the blocks to close each planter from the side, the red wooden strips (95 cm wide) are placed in the bottom and the green ones (100cm wide) are going to the sides.
Attach the square blocks from the pallet to the wooden strip that we use for the bottom. Place them in the edges using at least 3 screws making a triangle shape.
Now it’s time to attach the sides of the planters that go at the bottom of the model.
We recommend you to use a 3 screws per side making a triangle shape with them, so that way the wooden strip stay strong and does not wobble.
This is how the bottom part of the planters look like. You have to make 3 in total, so the count for all of them is:
To build the planters that we place at the top it is about the same process: red wooden strip for the bottom, two greens on the side and closing the edges with a wooden block.
You need to build two of them.
This is how the square pallet planter with 5 spaces looks like when is finished.
Remember that, like we said in the description, you can always change and adapt the design to your taste.
When you finish we recommend to sand the model to avoid splinters and oil/paint to protect it and give it your personal touch. Enjoy it! 🙂
